A Commack woman accused of drunken driving on the Southern State Parkway was also speeding and texting while driving, the State Police said.
The 21 year old was found to be in possession of marijuana and unprescribed medication, police said.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic violations.
She was stopped on the westbound Southern State, east of Route 231, Deer Park Avenue by a trooper who spotted her texting while driving. Her vehicle was speeding and failed to maintain its travel lane, police said.
The woman failed a field sobriety test and provided a breath sample that indicated a blood-alcohol content of .12 percent, police said. The legal limit is .08 percent.
